Day. It is the time we are out in the world. Out in a world of details. This is about the details. ...It isn't always pretty.
The Lab
This is it.

Sitting Here
It All Started Just Now
(Remember: This is a train of thought. And at any given time, the first words you read might be the caboose.)
Where we have been:
What we know:    Something is happening.
What we do not know:    What is happening.
What we need to look into further:    Everything.
Yes, I said we: Respond.

Today, a representative of Starbucks confirmed the reports I had been hearing.
Christmas has started early.
No need to wait for the turkey to be digested, they are going...NOW.
Ready or not.
And though I was happy to hear the Charlie Brown Christmas album playing,
I couldn't help but hope that the whole retail sector falls flat on its face this holiday season.
And the economy with it.
And the whole world.
I think it is time for a fresh start.
The secret has been unleashed.
They can do whatever they want,
because no one has the time to stop them.
Especially since we are them.
And we need money to buy presents.
...
This year, I don't want anything.

(It has been an interesting few days.
I went to the end of my rope and now I'm back.
I'm feeling much better now.
I still can't believe any of this is happening,
but, at least today, I let it effect me a lot less.)

I'm thinking about starting a company.
It would be mostly media oriented in the beginning.
But really, that's a red herring.
I am really thinking about starting a new world.
This would be the beginning of the new economy.
A new way of living.
And a new voice.
(Fear and excitement keep taking turns with me.)

I remember getting into the shower.
I remember thinking about stuff.
Then I noticed that I had just turned off the water.
I looked up at the soap, shampoo, and conditioner.
Had I used them?
I asked Cara if I had been in the shower long.
She said, 'a while...a little longer than usual'.
Did I get clean though?
I don't know.
I was thinking the whole time.
About stuff.
(How's that for not paying attention?
Or perhaps it is just paying a different teller.
I didn't ask where the time had went.)

People around me occasionally complain about how quickly time is going.
Either with a single day or a whole year.
And I keep wanting to say,
"Well, you aren't paying attention. What do you expect?"

There is a fly in the apartment.
After getting over the reflex action of wanting to kill it, I smiled and said to myself,
"Hey, this fly wants to enjoy the afternoon with me. Cool."
It's all relativity though.
I could keep saying that every time a new creature appears in here.
And after a while, there could be a lot of them.
And while I'm saying,
"Look at all these creatures that want to spend their time with me.",
anyone else who say it could say,
"This guy has a fly and rodent infested apartment."
It's a crazy example, but do you see?
It's all just a bunch of perceptions.
How long are we going to think we are right.
